Last Weekend, We visited our uncle’s farm in the country side. He suggested a picnic at a nearby hillock. We hiked uphill, stepping on dried leaves that crunch and twigs that snap under foot, our pet dog pant alongside us. The picnic spot was near a small pond. We spread a sheet on the grass under a tree. It was lovely! You could hear the neigh of the uncle’s horses from the farm downhill, along with the moo of the cows and the baa of sheep. A couple of ducks swam near the edge of the pond, quack in protest when our dog barks at them. A frog croaks in annoyance at the noise. We sip on fizz drinks and munch the snacks we brought with us, shoo away the occasional fly buzz around the food. A gentle breeze rustles the leaves of the tree overhead. Birds trill and tweet at each other from the trees nearby, But, soon we saw dark clouds and heard the low rumble of thunder. We hurriedly packed our belongings and made our way back to the farmhouse.
